(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team faced a tough challenge on Saturday, hosting Division II Bloomsburg University. The Huskies remained unbeaten on the season, posting a 143-55 win at the Kline Center.
Sophomore Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) won the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.88, placed third with the 200 medley (1:40.98) and fourth with the 200 free relay (1:34.17).
First-year Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) added the other win for the Red Devils, touching the wall first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:01.54.
Classmate James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) had a strong showing the distance events, placing second in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events, and anchoring the 200 free relay. Cummings clocked a time of 10:28.42 in the 1,000 and came back to touch the wall in 5:07.95 in the 500.
Senior Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) earned a trio of third-place finishes. He anchored the 200 medley relay, and placed third in the 50 and 100 freestyle events with times of 22.56 and 50.12.
Junior Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) added a bronze in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.40) and sophomore Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) claimed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.08.
Sophomore Dylan Gilhooly (Darien, Conn./Darien) was fourth in the 100 butterfly (56.65) and joined the medley relay.
The Red Devils slip to 3-2 on the season. They are home again on November 29th, hosting Messiah College at 7:00 pm.
