(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team improved to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference, posting a 133-70 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) won both distance events, claiming the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:04.27 and the 500 free with a mark of 4:55.80. He added a third place finish, swimming the anchor leg in the 400 free relay.
First-year James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) placed third in the 500 with time of 5:07.96.
First-year Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) was a triple-winner on the day. He joined both winning relays and touched the wall first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.03.
Senior Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) led-off the winning 400 free relay that posted a mark of 3:17.52 and added a win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.40. Senior Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) joined the free relay as well.
Sophomore Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) anchored both winning relays while claiming the 50 freestyle in 22.61. Classmate Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) swam the third leg of the medley relay and won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.89.
Senior Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College Area) and Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) went one-two in the 200 breaststroke with times of 2:10.14 and 2:14.05. Eaton added another win with the medley relay while Freeman struck gold in the 200 individual medley with a mark of 2:00.06.
Junior Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) was third in the individual medley (2:03.84) while senior Sasha Jouravlev (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) added a pair of third place showings in the 200 backstroke (2:07.28) and with the free relay.
The Red Devils are home again next Saturday, hosting Franklin & Marshall at 1:00 pm.
