(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swimming team suffered a 116-86 setback at unbeaten Gettysburg College on Wednesday night.
Senior Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) and sophomore Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) recorded wins in the 100 breaststroke (59.18) and the 100 butterfly (52.90), respectively, while both swam to silver with the 200 medley relay (1:38.45).
Sophomore Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 2:00.67.
First-year Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) led-off the medley relay and placed third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.99. Senior Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) anchored the medley relay and claimed silver in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 22.42.
Junior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) finished second in the 500 freestyle (4:51.78) and joined the winning 200 free relay for a time of 1:36.93.
First-year Riccardo Millar (Narberth, Pa./Lower Merion) led-off the free relay, joined by classmate James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) and senior Brian Reid (Winchester, Mass./Winchester), swimming the anchor leg.
Senior Sasha Jouravlev (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) placed second in the 100 backstroke (57.06) while classmate Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) captured third in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:13.19).
Junior Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) was third in the breaststroke (1:01.58) and first-year Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) finished third in the 200 freestyle (1:49.09).
The Bullets improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils slip to 7-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference. They close out the dual-meet schedule on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Swarthmore College for a 1:00 pm start.
