(Chestertown, Md.) – The Dickinson men's swim team suffered a 126-79 decision at Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) led the way with a pair of wins on the day, claiming the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:58.88 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:14.02. He also added a silver, anchoring the 400-medley relay to a time of 3:37.83.
Junior Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) joined the second-place medley relay and had the only other win for the Red Devils, touching the wall first in the 200 butterfly with a mark of 1:58.52. Classmate Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) was second in the 50 freestyle (22.25) and with the 400 free relay, adding a third-place showing in the 100 freestyle (49.61).
Sophomore Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) led-off the medley relay and was second in the 200 backstroke as well with a time of 2:03.59. First-year Liam Pauli (Delran, N.J./Delran) was third in the backstroke, clocking a time of 2:05.88.
Senior Allen Belo (Odenton, Md./Severn School) claimed silver in the 50 freestyle (22.77) and anchored the second-place free relay. First-year Tyler Catania (Spotswood, N.J./St. Joseph) swam the lead-leg of the relay, and was second and fourth in the 200 and 100 freestyle events.
Senior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) placed second in the 1000 and 500-yard freestyle events, posting times of 10:14.21 and 4:59.53. Classmate Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) also joined the medley relay for a silver.
The Red Devils slip to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road again next Saturday, traveling to Franklin & Marshall for a tri-meet with Cabrini College at 1:00 pm.
