Division II Huskies Hold Off Red Devils

(Bloomsburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team turned in some strong individual performances but dropped a 158-98 decision at Division II Bloomsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) earned a pair of wins, touching the wall first in the 200-breaststroke (2:15.55) and the 200-individual medley (2:02.10) and adding a third-place finish in the 100-breaststroke.

Senior Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends' Central) was second in the 200 breaststroke (1:01.72) and in the 200-individual medley (2:03.03) and placed third in the 100 freestyle.

First-year Logan Cort (Brookeville, Md./Mercersburg) won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.07 and placed third in the 1000 free with a mark of 10:22.46. Classmate Ben Shoul (Hanover, Pa./Southwestern) was third in the 50 freestyle.

Senior Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) swam to a win in the 200-butterfly (1:58.09) and junior Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) added a silver in the 200-backstroke with a mark of 2:03.00 flat.

The Red Devils slip to 3-2 on the season. They return home to host Messiah College on Tuesday, November 27 at 7:00 pm.
