CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team began their home slate on Friday night with a stiff challenge in the form of Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg College. Unfortunately, for the Devils the Bullets had too much on this night picking up a 162-43 win at the Clarke Aquatic Center.
The first event of the meet was the 400-yard medley relay which saw the team of
Nolan Chenot,
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi,
Andrew Kelley and
Henry Lease take fifth with a 3:45.74, while
Jack Engel,
Aidan Keillor,
Aaron Stern and
Daniel Vasquez finished right behind them at 3:51.55.
Ben Lilly claimed the Devils first Top-3 result during the 1000-yard freestyle by touching the wall in 10:38.90.
Benjamin Brandt completed the field for the event by stopping the clock at 10:42.96 (5th).
Alexander Kanard and Keillor finished within two seconds of each other in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 1:51.04 (5th) and 1:53.95 (6th).
Dickinson collected their lone victory of the night in the 50-yard freestyle as
Daulton Kendall posted a 22.04, while Stern and Lease landed in fifth (23.51) and seventh (23.83) respectively.
A trio of Devils did battle within the field of the 200-yard individual medley: Vasquez (4th - 2:04.21), Kelley (6th - 2:08.41) and
Paul Florio (7th - 2:12.00).
Chenot completed the Top-3 for the 100-yard butterfly with a 55.54, followed two spots later by Engel at 56.40.
Lilly and Brandt finished in fifth (54.25) and sixth (55.06) during the 100-yard freestyle.
Colloca-Bianchi posted a 56.02 to secure third in the 100-yard backstroke, while Vasquez locked up sixth at 1:00.57.
Kanard collected a third-place finish during the 500-yard freestyle by getting to the wall in 5:04.01. Keillor took part in the event as well posting a 5:08.61 for sixth.Â
Lease (3rd - 1:03.37), Florio (5th - 1:07.84) and Stern (6th - 1:08.75) did battle in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The last event of the evening the 200-yard freestyle relay saw the team of Chenot, Engel, Kanard and Kelley claim third with a 1:30.85. The other DC group of Brandt, Colloca-Bianchi, Florio and Lilly landed in fifth at 1:36.96.

Dickinson (0-5) returns to action next Saturday at 12 pm on the road when the Red and White visit Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
