ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson men's track and field team returned to action on Saturday afternoon for the first time since their triumph in the Little Three Championship at the Muhlenberg Invitational on the Scotty Wood Stadium track.
Sprints
William O'Connor and Benjamin Power were Top-20 for the 100m claiming 15th (11.55) and 20th (11.73) respectively.
The 110m hurdles saw
Charlie Miske fall just outside the Top-10 in 11th with an 18.36.
O'Connor secured another Top-15 result during the 200m dash by clocking in at 23.78 for 14th.
Jack Corkum (25.58) and
Tyler Erdmann (27.05) also took part in the event.
The Red and White put a trio of participants in the Top-15 of the 400m as
Ian Gormley paced the group in seventh (52.26), while
Luke Sternick and
Charlie Miske pretty much ran together hitting the line in 54.32 (13th) and 54.74 (14th).
James Masterson was involved within the field of the 400m hurdles finishing in 1:08.89 for 12th.
Distance
Dickinson claimed a win in the 800m as
Trevor Richwine bested the 34-competitor field with a 1:56.81. He was joined in the Top-10 by
Teddy Mercer at 2:00.68 for eighth.
Benjamin Moseman was the other DC runner to eclipse the Top-20 stopping the clock in 2:02.91 (15th).
Mercer continued a strong showing in the distance events by winning the 1500m in 3:59.16, while Moseman joined him on the podium in third at 4:08.70.
Ethan Katz also took part clocking in with a 4:31.12.
A trio of Devils secured Top-10 results during the 5000m with
Alexander Kane finishing in second on 15:23.72, followed immediately by
Romario Cruz at 15:26.21.
James Marks locked up eighth after hitting the line in 15:52.19.
Matthew Dietrick had a solid showing as well taking 12th with a 16:13.60.
Specialty
Meincke did well in the 3000m steeplechase after posting a 9:58.96 for fourth, while
William Tripp hit the stripe at 10:10.40 (7th).
Coltin Albitz rounded out the Top-10 in 10:24.63.
Field
Sa'id Rahim finished the long jump in 12th with a leap of 5.15m.
Ethan Hart put forth a dominating effort during the shot put posting a toss of 16.08m to win the event, besting his next closest competitor Elek Ferency of Muhlenberg by over two meters.
Matthew Harvey landed just off the podium in fourth at 13.17m. The same two were also involved in the discus claiming fourth (42.31m) and tenth (36.97m) respectively.
Hunter Omerzo also posted a toss of 23.80m during the event.
Omerzo completed the Top-10 for the javelin with a launch of 42.18m, while Miske was in 14th thanks to a 39.80m.
AJ Jennings and Rahim recorded throws of 32.73m and 32.36m.
Relays
The 4x100m team took fifth with a 46.13, while the 4x400m unit landed in fifth as well at 3:33.81.
In the Starting Block
The Red and White are back at it on Wednesday afternoon at the York College (Pa.) Twilight Meet beginning at 4pm. .
