CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team continued Centennial Conference action on Wednesday afternoon with a visit from the Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins University. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the visitors overwhelming talent was just too much on the day as they secured a 9-0 win at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (Blue Jays 3-0)
The third pair of
Florian Anderson and
DJ Finnell was the Devils best chance to claim a point as they collected five games off of Karan Belday and Andrew Tran in a 5-8 loss.
Thomas Griffin and
Levi Veleanu at the number two spot grabbed two games from Nick Charanjiva and Zahari Stoimenov, but came up short 2-8. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the top unit of
Garrick Adams and
Will Lewis dropped an 0-8 decision to Pranav Gadiraju and Allen Gong.Â
Singles (Blue Jay 6-0)
Adams playing at the top slot gave a strong showing in the first set, but ultimately fell 5-7, 1-6 match to Gong. At five Anderson, claimed just one game against Belday in set number one, before taking four during the second in a 1-6, 4-6 loss. Lewis (4th) and
Spencer Goodman (6th) both came up short by identical scorelines of 1-6, 2-6 to Stoimenov and Charanjiva respectively. Griffin took on Tran at number two dropping a 0-6, 2-6 match, while Veleanu was limited to just one game versus Gadiraju (1-6, 0-6.

Dickinson (3-9, 0-2 Centennial) returns to action on Saturday afternoon at 1pm when they host the Shoremen of Washington College on Senior Day.
