Devils Finish Off Season With CC Win Over Mules

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team captured their first Centennial Conference win of the season on Saturday afternoon by knocking off the visiting Muhlenberg College by a score of 6-1 indoors at the Hershey Racquet Club.

Doubles (DEVILS 3-0 | Count as one point in team score)
The match began with the duo of Lucas Bogle and Sandro Buskhrikidze knocking off Max Gofton-William Rose in convincing fashion 6-0. The Red and White locked up the point thanks to a 6-0 win at three for Ben Cioladis and Jack Weaver over Josh Simon-Sam Stein. Drew Allen and David Daraban completed a doubles shutout by posting a 6-4 victory against Owen Dyer-Matt Miller.

Singles (DEVILS 5-1)
Daraban playing at two started things with a 6-2, 6-0 win versus Rose. A spot below him Buskhrikidze dropped a hard fought battle to Miller (6-4, 7-6). Bogle then needed to go the distance with Dyer as he fell 6-4 in the first, before taking the second 6-1 and the third 7-6 (7-5 tiebreak). Allen on the fourth line lost the first 7-5 to Casey Knipe, but then stormed back to win a second set tiebreak 7-5 and the third 6-4. Weaver (5th) and Cioladis (6th) each needed to play a deciding third set super tiebreak to determine their matches with the Devil coming out on top 10-3 and 11-9 respectively to finish off the match.

Dickinson ends their season with a record of 6-15 overall and 1-6 in the Centennial.
