GETTYSBURG, Pa. - For the third straight day the Dickinson men's tennis team was in action on Tuesday afternoon heading to Gettysburg College for a conference showdown with the Bullets. Unfortunately, for the Red and White it was the hosts that picked up an 8-1 win at the Bullets Tennis Courts.
Doubles (Bullets 3-0)
There were two matches that could have gone either was as the second duo of
Thomas Griffin and
Levi Veleanu came up just short 6-8 against JP Damare and Adam Contract, while the third team of
Florian Anderson and
DJ Finnell fell to Michael Zayneh and Matt Rau by the same scoreline. The number one pair of
Garrick Adams along with
Will Lewis dropped a 4-8 decision to Alex Kagan and Michael Fellman.
Singles (Bullets 5-1)
The Devils lone victory was at the number four spot where Lewis had too much for Zayneh winning 6-3, 6-3. Griffin in the number two slot won a combined six games against Kagan, but fell 2-6, 4-6, while at five Finnell was defeated by Hayden Strittmatter, 1-6, 4-6. Veleanu dropped identical 2-6, 2-6 sets versus Contract at three. Anderson went down at six to Connor McPartland (2-6, 1-6), while Adams lost to Fellman (1-6, 1-6) in the number one slot.
