ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team got back to their winning ways on Wednesday as they took care of business against conference foe Muhlenberg College with an 8-1 win at the Kern Field Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 2-1)
The first pair of
Izzy Desjardins and
Martine Fierro had little problem taking down Sophia Framm and Kety Gaidamashvili winning by a score of 8-1. The duo of
Ariana Goitz and
Alisa Steele pitched a shutout versus Caitlin Bestrycki and Giulia Gerschel (8-0). Unfortunately at the third spot
Mia Dau and
Maddie Lindquist suffered a 5-8 setback t Malin Hermanson and Julia Lennon.Â
Singles (DEVILS 6-0)
Anabelle Armendarez and Steele playing at four and three respectively each posted 6-0, 6-0 shutouts of Bestrycki and Gerschel. Fierro dispatched of Gaidamashvili 6-1, 6-1 in the top spot.
Molly Michel allowed Stefanie Wolff to win just three games in the sixth slot in a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Dana Kleinman then secured a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at five, while in the two spot Goitz brought down Framm (6-2, 6-3).Â
Next on the Court
Dickinson (6-9, 2-6 Centennial) will conclude the conference portion of their schedule on Saturday at 11am when they head to Haverford College to battle the Fords.
