COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - After a solid showing on Saturday the Dickinson men's track and field team moved up one spot into fourth-place through two days of the Centennial Conference Championships at Patterson Field on the campus of Ursinus College.
Sprints
William O'Connor and
Matthew Greenley took part in the 100m finishing in 15th (11.50) and 17th (11.73) respectively.
Charlie Miske was involved in the 110m hurdles posting a time of 19.76 for 11th.Â
Cole Boback earned the last qualifying place for tomorrow's 200m final after clocking in at 22.30. O'Connor landed in 14th with a time of 23.33, while
Ian Gormley claimed 17th (23.38).
Two Devils qualified for the 400m final as Boback finished in fourth at 49.73, followed by Gormley in seventh (50.99).
Luke Sternick hit the stripe in 52.83 for 13th.Â
James Masterson secured seventh during the 400m hurdle prelim to advance to tomorrow's final with a time of 59.78.
Liam Coulter (1:04.34),
William Tripp (1:04.97),
Matthew Gareau (1:07.63) and
Shane Coll (1:07.91) also competed in the event.Â
Distance
Trevor Richwine earned fourth in the qualifier for the 800m by stopping the clock in 1:56.50.
Evan Feldman landed in 22nd at 2:04.26, while
Ethan Katz and
Sean Harris posted times of 2:07.34 and 2:08.95.Â
Special Events
Nolan Meincke locked up a Top-10 slot in the 3000m steeplechase after finishing in 9:50.13 (9th).
Coltin Albitz (13th - 10:12.56), Tripp (16th - 10:31.88) and
Matthew Foote (19th - 10:47.06) also placed inside the Top-20.Â
Miske won the decathlon with 5700 points after a phenomenal day two that saw him win both the javelin (41.11m) and 1500m (4:24.52). He also finished in second during the pole vault after clearing 3.43m. Benjamin Power finish in seventh on 4792 points. His best even of the day was the discus where he posted a toss of 29.95m for second.
Relay
The first relay of the weekend saw the 4x800m unit of
Teddy Mercer, Masterson, Meincke and Richwine claim second with a time of 7:44.89.
Field
Ethan Hart locked down a podium spot for the discus with a toss of 41.70m taking third, while
Matthew Harvey joined him in the Top-10 in ninth at 38.12m.
Lamar Ludy finished in 18th with a mark of 30.09m.
The duo of
Kieran Santos and
Jacob Choudhri finished in 15th (5.83m) and 19th (5.59m). Santos was also involved in the high jump taking tenth at 1.75m.Â
Team Scores
Johns Hopkins continues to hold onto the team lead with 101 points, followed by Ursinus (74), Swarthmore (37), Dickinson (36), Muhlenberg (34), Haverford (30), McDaniel (19), Franklin & Marshall (11.5) and Gettysburg (8.5).Â
In the Starting Block
The Red and White will finish the Centennial Conference Championships at Ursinus College in Collegeville tomorrow morning.Â
