COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Dickinson junior
Ethan Hart continued to rewrite the history books on Sunday afternoon as he posted a throw of 16.52m to set a new Centennial Conference Championship meet record to win the event. On the day the Red and White put forth a solid showing, but ended their time at Patterson Field in sixth after three days.
Sprints
Cole Boback finished up the 200m in sixth-place after clocking in at 22.21. He then earned a silver medal for the 400m with a time of 48.84, while
Ian Gormley came in seventh by hitting the line in 51.85.
James Masterson was the lone Devil during the 400m hurdles taking eighth with mark of 1:00.44.
Distance
Trevor Richwine added another silver for the Red and White after claiming second in the 800m in 1:52.92.
Teddy Mercer headed a group of five Devils within the 1500m by taking seventh at 3:56.70, while
Nolan Meincke and
Benjamin Moseman secured Top-20 results with times of 4:07.36 (14th) and 4:09.26 (16th).
Colin Schweitzer (4:14.56) and
Coltin Albitz (4:23.13) also competed in the event.
Five more DC runners were involved in the 5000m with
Romario Cruz snagging ninth (15:19.01).
Alexander Kane was also inside the Top-20 by claiming 17th at 15:42.32.
Michael Loalbo (24th - 16:05.22),
James Marks (27th - 16:25.48) and
Matthew Dietrick (28th - 16:27.24) rounded out the group for the Red and White.
Relay
The first relay of the day was the 4x100m and it saw the Devils take fifth with a time of 43.66 thanks to the team of
Matthew Greenley,
William O'Connor,
Luke Sternick and Boback.
The quartet of Boback, Gormley, Mercer and Richwine clocked in at 3:24.05 for sixth during the 4x400m.
Field
Two Devils earned Top-10 slots for the javelin with
Sa'id Rahim and
Hunter Omerzo posting tosses of 46.09m (7th) and 45.46m (9th) respectively.
Charlie Miske just missed Top-10 landing in 11th at 42.20m, while
AJ Jennings was 16th (38.99m).
Two other members of the Red and White were involved in the shot put along with Hart as
Matthew Harvey took seventh (14.07m) and
Lamar Ludy dropped down at 12.01m for 15th.
Jacob Choudhri was 11th during the triple jump with a mark of 12.61m.
Team Scores
The host Ursinus rallied back to claim the team title with 199 points, followed by Johns Hopkins (190), Haverford (93), McDaniel (92), Muhlenberg (90), Dickinson (81), Swarthmore (53), Gettysburg (33.5) and Franklin & Marshall (26.5).
In the Starting Block
The Red and White will have a week off before heading to the Swarthmore Final Qualifier at Swarthmore College on Monday, May 15th.
