Devils Improve On Day Two to Finish 13th at Mason-Dixon

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf team returned to Waynesboro Country Club on Sunday afternoon for the second day of the Mason-Dixon Fall Invitational hosted by both Gettysburg College and McDaniel. The Red and White entered the day in 15th and were looking to climb up as high as possible.

Collin McMahon-Shea continued to be the steady hand for the Devils on the 6553-yard, par 72 course posting his second straight two-under 70 to finish tied for fifth. Will Griffith had a solid day carding a one-over 73 to knock five strokes off. Ryan Wheeler trimmed two off of his Saturday total by putting up a 78, while Carl Williams also shaved five off of his total to finish with a 78 as well. The biggest jump of the day belonged to Jackson Guy who went from a +15 (87) to a +9 (81).

Daniel Suter from the Gettysburg "A" team finished the two days with a seven under 137 to win the tournament and help his fellow Bullets claim the team title with a combined score of 566 (287, 279). The rest of the Top-10 went as follows: Franklin & Marshall (584), Shenandoah (585), Allegheny (590), McDaniel "A" and Swarthmore (591), Alvernia and York (Pa.) (594), Randolph-Macon (598) and Gettysburg "B" (601). The Red and White ended the event with a team mark of 610 (311, 299) which was good for 13th out of the 19 team field.
