ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swim team posted numerous Top-3 finishes and won multiple events en route to picking up a 123-82 non-conference victory over the host Elizabethtown College on Friday night.
The night began with the Red and White winning the 200-yard medley relay as the team of
Nolan Chenot,
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi,
Jack Engel and
Daulton Kendall stopped the clock at 1:40.20.
Alexander Kanard and
Benjamin Brandt secured second and third during the 1000-yard freestyle with marks of 10:21.01 and 10:49.68.
Damon Buchanan also competed getting to the wall in 11:32.38 for fifth.
Dickinson went one-two-three in the 200-yard freestyle as
James Wright took first with a 1:47.28, followed by
Lukas Nier (1:52.08) and
Joe Apat (1:55.93).
Kendall picked up another win for the Devils during the 50-yard freestyle stopping the clock in 22.06, while Colloca-Bianchi claimed third at 23.48.
It was a one-two punch for Dickinson in the 200-yard individual medley as
Andrew Kelley grabbed the win thanks to a 2:06.52 edging out
Justin Wong at 2:07.34.
The trio of Nier, Engel and
Jace Pedicone competed during 100-yard butterfly posting times of 54.82 (2nd), 57.16 (3rd) and 58.43 (4th).
Samson Qu added another victory for the visitors in the 100-yard freestyle clocking in at 48.07, followed by Chenot in second (51.48).
Wright dominated the field during the 100-yard backstroke touching the wall in 53.34 for win besting his teammate Brandt in second at 1:00.13.
Paul Florio and Kelley landed in second (5:06.59) and third (5:14.29) respectively, while Matt Ferenz secured fifth (5:20.40).
Qu earned second for the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.66 which was just ahead of Wong in third (1:01.91).
Aidan Keillor also took to the pool for the event nabbing fourth (1:03.75).
The Red and White ended the evening by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay as the team of Buchanan, Colloca-Bianchi, Kanard and Kendall getting to the wall in 3:25.19.
Next on the Pool Deck
Dickinson (4-2) who had their home meet for tomorrow canceled will now return to the pool on Friday, December 6th for night one of the Gettysburg College Invite. The action will begin at 6pm.
