CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team was in outstanding form on Friday posting a 9-0 Centennial Conference win over the visiting Muhlenberg College Mules at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 3-0)
Dickinson took the win in all three matches with the second team of
Jenna Crain and
Dana Kleinman giving up just one game to Caitlin Bestrycki and Alexandra Downey (8-1). The third unit with
Maddie Lindquist and
Molly Michel took down Jordyn Brown and Taylor Current (8-4), while
Alisa Steele and
Bonnie Thomas secured an 8-5 triumph over Sophia Framm and Kety Gaidamashvili.
Singles (DEVILS 6-0)
Two members of the Red and White earned 6-1, 6-1 wins with Steele playing in the two slot and Thomas at number three knocking off Gaidamashvili and Bestrycki respectively. Kleinman took on Downey in the battle of the number four's collecting a 6-4, 6-0 victory. Crain in the top slot had to fight harder than most of her teammates, but was ultimately able to claim a 6-4, 6-3 win. The other two matchups featuring
Anabelle Armendarez (5th) and
Sara Jaklitsch (6th) only played one-set matches picking up identical 8-1 victories.
The First Serve
Dickinson (8-4, 2-2 Centennial) returns to the court tomorrow morning at 11am when they take on Bryn Mawr College on the road.
