GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team saw their hopes of a potential Centennial Conference playoff berth take a major hit on Monday afternoon by falling 9-0 to the host Gettysburg College at the Bullet Tennis Complex.
Doubles (Bullets 3-0)
The second unit of
Anabelle Armendarez and
Dana Kleinman took three games off of Sarah Guistwite and Gillian Rozenfeld in an 8-3 setback.
Sara Jaklitsch and
Maddie Lindquist in the third slot fell by a score of 8-2 to Ellie Brignati and Emma Ward. Lastly, the duo of
Molly Michel and
Alisa Steele competed hard, but came out on the wrongside of an 8-1 defeat.Â
Singles (Bullets 6-0)
The first match to come to an end was at the three spot where Armendarez was toppled 0-6, 2-6 by Avery Palandjian. Michel (2nd) was next to have her match conclude as Guistwite posted an 0-6, 0-6 victory to secure the match at 5-0. Steele playing up at the number one position fell 0-6, 2-6 to Andrea Brazyte.
Katharine van Kesteren rounded out the roster for Dickinson in the sixth slot dropping a 2-6, 1-6 matchup against Brignati. Kleinman at the fourth spot took three games from Rozenfeld in an 0-6, 3-6 loss. Jaklitsch was able to win the most games of any Devil in a single match as she grabbed five in the fifth slot versus Eden Levkov (3-6, 2-6).

Dickinson (9-7, 3-5 Centennial) finishes off their regular season on Saturday afternoon at 12pm when they host Haverford College on Senior Day at the Hays Tennis Courts.
