CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson volleyball team kicked off the home portion of the schedule on Saturday afternoon by hosting a tri-match against local foe Lebanon Valley College and Eastern Mennonite University inside the Kline Center. The Red and White began the day strong with a 3-0 win over LVC,
Match One - DEVILS,3, Dutchmen 0 (25-21, 25-16, 27-25)
- Dickinson opened the match strong as Alexa Barowski, Amelia Kim and Mallie Thomas gave the hosts a 9-3 lead.Â
- Following a 6-3 push from LVC to pull within 12-9, two Thomas kills and an ace for Camille Dofiles extended the gap to 16--9.
- LVC would not go away though as Libby Lindau, Riley Mack, Mattea Penner and Robyn Stepler closed the gap to one at 20-19.
- The trio of Eliette Whittaker, Kim and Thomas captured five of the next seven to take the 25-21 win.
- It was all Devils early as Lora Flynn joined Barowski, Kim and Thomas on the scoresheet as DC jumped out to a 9-1 edge.
- After two quick strikes from LVC, Willow Palmer went to the service line and watched Jessica Currie, Kim, Thomas and Whittaker help her create a 10-2 run to make it 19-5 home side. Â
- An 11-3 response by the Dutchmen cut the deficit down to 22-16, but a service error and two kills for Jessica Currie wrapped up the set 25-16.Â
- LVC jumped out to a 2-1 advantage, but five Thomas aces and a pair Kim kills handed DC a 9-2 edge.Â
- Dickinson continued to extend their advantage with scores by Barowski, Currie, Kim and Palmer making it 15-7.
- LVC stunted the charge for a second closing within 15-9, before Avery Butcher, Barowski, Dofiles and Thomas open the gap out to 20-10.
- However, a 14-3 explosion by the Dutchmen, including a run of 11 straight put the guests on the verge of the set at 24-23.
- The Red and White claimed four of the final five points to take the match 27-25 as Butcher notched a match-winning ace.

Match Two - DEVILS 3, Royals 2 (21-25, 25-18, 25-21, 17-25, 15-9)
- Early points from Barowski, Currie, Kim and Thomas had the Red and White out to an 11-7 lead.Â
- Kenley Smith then bookended a 9=2 run for EMU to grab a 16-13 advantage.
- Dickinson chipped into the deficit and using a solo kill from each Cassidy Davis, Currie and Thomas made it 20-18.
- Five of the final eight went the way of EMU as Laney Cline put away the set-winning kill.
- A trio of Thomas aces along with kills by Currie and Davis gave the Devils 12-7 advantage early on.Â
- The two sides traded the next six points, before scores by Hannah Kepler, Kassidy Meadowns and Mara Woolford trimmed the margin to 21-18.
- Dickinson would then collect themselves and take the next four points  thanks to points put down by Currie and Kim (25-18).
- For the third consecutive set it was the hosts with the early lead as Emery Fishbach, Coccagna, Kim and Thomas made it 11-7.
- With Dickinson still holding onto a 14-10 advantage, EMU responded with the group of Madison Stockner, Cline, Meadows and Smith leading a 7-4 push cutting the lead to just one at 18-17.Â
- The Devils then claimed five of the ensuing seven points with Coccagna serving as the only DC player to record a point with an ace pushing the lead to the 23-19.
- Four points later it would be Barowski putting away the final kill for the 25-21 victory.
- Out of the first ten points in the frame six went the way of EMU, with Barowski, Davis, Kim and Thomas supplying the offense for DC.Â
- The Royals continued to hold the hosts at-bay with Meadows, Smith, Stockner and Woolford stretching the lead to 15-9.
- Dickinson then began their rally with two Barowski aces and a single kill for Davis along with four miscues from EMU leaaving the score at 18-16 EMU.
- EMU would force a deciding fifth set by closing the fourth on a 7-1 run evening the match with a 25-17 win.
- The Red and White began the fifth flying high taking a 7-1 lead with points from Barowski, Davis, Kim and Thomas.Â
- Following two scores by the Royals, the quartet of Currie, Davis, Kim and Whittaker extending the advantage to 12-3.
- Stockner and Woolford tried to give EMU a spark closing within 13-9, but a block Barowski and kim for Thomas handed the home side a 15-9 triumph.
