BALTIMORE – The eighth-ranked Dickinson men's soccer team got a 12th-minute goal from

First Half
- The opening ten-plus minutes were contested between the boxes with neither side able to record a shot until in the 12th minute a free kick for Dickinson made its way just outside of the JHU box. That was where the ball was collected by Nicholas Dwamena and sent to the head of Saul Iwowo who steered a shot past John Ghanem for a 1-0 lead.
- Things continued to be a defensive struggle until the 25th minute when a pair of corner kicks led to chances for both Patrick McCune and Dwamena, but they could not solve Ghanem.
- JHU finally notched their first shot of the match during the 28th when Scotty Coleman fired the ball over the top of the DC net guarded by Nick Potter.
- Each keeper was called upon in the 34th as Potter shutdown Brendan Listzwan, while Ghanem had the answer for Ethan Jarden.
- Dickinson would get a late look from Westin Fryberger, but Ghanem was up to the task to send the match to the break still at just 1-0.
Second Half
- Five minutes into the frame Dickinson had a great chance to make it 2-0 when Timi Omoniwa broke down the right-wing and let a shot fly at frame that was pushed away by Ghanem.
- A little over ten minutes later Ghanem once again was called into action shutting down Rowan Jensen.
- In the 66th minute the hosts found their needed equalizer as a foul whistled in the box against Charlie Roy resulted in a JHU penalty kick. Coleman would step up from 12-yards out and beat Potter to level the score.
- Two minutes after the tying marker, a corner kick for the Jays led to Javi Ordonez testing Potter who was up to the task.
- Both Ghanem and Potter were tasked with making a save inside of the final ten minutes to preserve the 1-1 draw and a vital point in the table for each side.
