CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson College women's soccer program is thrilled to announce the hiring of Jeena Pressley as the newest addition to its coaching staff. Bringing a wealth of elite playing experience and proven sideline leadership, Pressley is set to help elevate the Red Devils as they prepare for the upcoming season. Her extensive background in both collegiate and pre-professional soccer makes her an invaluable asset to the program's development and competitive goals.
"Joining the Dickinson Women's Soccer program as an assistant coach is an incredible privilege and a moment, I'm truly grateful for" stated Pressley. "This team's culture, commitment, and competitiveness are inspiring. I am excited to contribute to the program and support these players not only as athletes, but as people, bringing my experience to help refine their skills and further their development on and off the field."
Pressley transitions to Dickinson College following a highly successful stint as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for Eagle FC in the USL W League, a position she has held since April 2024. In this role, she assisted in all facets of team management, which included running training sessions, implementing defensive tactics, and making critical in-game adjustments. Her comprehensive coaching responsibilities extended beyond the pitch, as she actively supported the head coach with recruiting strategies and communications. Furthermore, she led game-day setup and operational logistics, ensuring a professional environment for the athletes. Possessing a sharp tactical mind, Pressley analyzed film of both her own squad and upcoming opponents, constructing detailed scouting reports to thoroughly prepare her team for gameday. Her dedicated efforts directly contributed to Eagle FC capturing its third consecutive divisional championship and securing a playoff appearance in its four-year history within the USLW.
Before dedicating herself to coaching, Pressley built an extraordinary resume as a player. Competing at the NCAA Division II level for Thomas Jefferson University from 2020 to 2024, she established herself as a cornerstone of a championship-caliber program. During her collegiate career, she helped lead the team to three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships in 2020, 2021, and 2024. Most notably, her on-field leadership was instrumental in guiding the program to its first NCAA Tournament victory in program history during the 2024 campaign. A reliable and enduring presence on the field, she logged 55 career starts and averaged over 80 minutes per game during the 2022 and 2024 seasons.
Her individual collegiate accolades are extensive. Pressley earned First Team All-CACC honors in 2024, following a Second Team selection in 2022. Additionally, she was recognized on the United Soccer Coaches East Region Second Team and the D2CCA East Region Second Team in 2024. Pressley was equally committed to academic excellence, earning spots on the CACC All-Academic Team three times and being named CSC Academic All-District twice. In 2024, she also secured a spot on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team and received the Director of Athletics Award for the 2024-25 academic year.
In addition to her collegiate success, Pressley competed pre-professionally for Eagle FC in the USL W League from 2021 to 2023. Demonstrating her capacity for leadership, she was named Team Captain in 2023. Under her guidance on the field, the team captured the Mid-Atlantic Division and Conference Championships and reached the USLW National Semifinals. Her exceptional performance was highlighted by the USLW, ranking her among the top 288 NCAA Division II players nationally.
Pressley holds a Bachelor's of Communications and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, both earned from Thomas Jefferson University. Her combined experiences as a decorated player and a championship-winning assistant coach uniquely position her to make a profound impact on the Dickinson College women's soccer program.
