Devils Have Five Players Named All-Region

KANSAS CITY - After another superb season the Dickinson men's soccer team was rewarded on Tuesday by having five players selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams as announced by the organization. Senior duo Saul Iwowo and Ethan Jarden were joined by sophomore Nicholas Dwamena on First Team, while senior Luke Finkielstein along with junior Jeremy Sallade grabbed Second Team honors.

First Team
Dwamena, a native of Kumasi, Ghana, earned his second All-Region appearance after landing on Second Team in 2024. On the season, he appeared in 20 matches, making 18 starts tying for the team lead in assists with seven, while adding three markers to total 13 points. In the conference title match at home versus Johns Hopkins on November 9th he collected a goal and an assist. He also started in all four of the Devils NCAA Tournament matches tallying four shots (one on frame).

Iwowo, the native of London, United Kingdom, repeated his First Team All-Region selection after leading the Devils in goals (17), game-winning goals (9), points (38), shots (72) and shots on goal (37) which also helped him earn Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year recognition. One of his best matches of the season was October 8th in a 6-1 home win over non-conference foe Lebanon Valley as he collected two goals on five shots (four on target) along with a pair of helpers. During the Devils NCAA Tournament run he buried five goals, which included a hat trick in a 5-0 First Round win at home versus North Carolina Wesleyan. He also notched the match winners against Denison (Second Round) and Lynchburg (Sweet 16).

Jarden, from West Chester, Pennsylvania, like Iwowo grabbed First Team All-Region recognition for a second consecutive season after notching eight goals and gave out four assists over 24 matches played. On October 4th he had a five-point night with a brace and a helper in the Devils 4-0 win. During the four-game NCAA Tournament charge he posted a goal along with an assist on nine shots (six on target).

Second Team
Finkielstein, out of West Windsor, New Jersey, appeared in and started 23 fixtures for the Red and White collecting four goals (two game-winners) on 24 shots (nine on target). The Centennial Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player tallied one goal in each of the CC Tournament contests and helped to clear numerous crosses out of dangerous areas throughout the postseason using his massive 6-foot 3-inch frame.

Sallade, the resident of Princeton, New Jersey, appeared in and started 23 matches to grab his first all-region recognition. During the course of the season he racked up seven helpers which tied him with Dwamena for tops on the side. Against Lebanon Valley back on October 8th he dished out three helpers, before chipping in one during the conference tournament setting up Finkielstein for the second marker in the 3-0 win over Muhlenberg in the semifinal. He also added one assist in the 5-0 NCAA Tournament First Round win at home over North Carolina Wesleyan, before posting a helper on Iwowo's match-winner in the Sweet 16 versus Lynchburg on November 22nd.
