From the Mind of Coach Masimore
  • Thoughts on Schedule
    • In 2023 our strength of schedule was .58, last year was .658 and we won more games. We pride ourselves on a really tough schedule to help prepare us to compete in the grueling Centennial. Our team loves a challenge and our 2025 schedule should be no different. Our 2025 schedule includes 9 regionally ranked teams from 2024, 6 nationally ranked teams, 6 NCAA tournament teams and 3 Conference champs. We're especially excited to play Rhodes on spring break, where our former assistant Ellison Sherrill is the head coach, and her assistant is Emma Wynne '24
  • What have you seen in the preseason that has you excited about the season?
    • I have loved the leadership our captains and entire senior class have provided. It is clear they've been putting in the work in the off season. They were ready to compete Day 1 and I'm excited to see us continue to grow together.
  • How have your first-years acclimated to the college game so far?
    • Our first years are comfortable on the field because they feel valued and trusted, that is the work of the leadership. Our first years are bought in and feel empowered to contribute to our success this season.
  • What is your outlook for the year ahead?
    • I'm looking forward to our first test this weekend. Our leadership has high expectations for this team and they are hungry to win at a high level. I think if this team can stay consistent and play cohesively, it should be a fun season.
