HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Dickinson men's tennis team closed out their spring break schedule on Friday afternoon with a narrow 4-3 loss to the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta. This will end the spring break tour of South Carolina for the Red Devils, as they walked away without a win going 0-3, but gaining valuable experience against tough opponents.

Inside The Match
The Red Devils came out the gates strong in the doubles play, claiming the point winning two of the three matches. The first match finished was the pairing of Aidan MacIntosh and Eddy Chow, who breezed by their opponents 6-1. Next, the top pairing of sophomore Drew Allen and first-year Lucas Bogle clinched the doubles win, 6-3. The Red Devils also began the singles strong, as in the top flight, first-year Lucas Bogle continues his strong play with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Meanwhile, his doubles partner Drew Allen dug deep in the first set but came away with a loss 7-5, 6-1 in the third flight. The third and final point came in the fourth flight for the Red Devils, with a dominant win for Aidan MacIntosh 6-1, 6-3. Florian Anderson came up short in the third flight, along with Ryan Whiting unable to get over the line in the fifth flight. The match tied at three, came down to the sixth flight, with sophomore Talon Baker taking the second set to the wire, but falling 6-2, 7-5, awarding the overall team win to the Red Dragons.

The Red Devils (2-5) will travel to Middletown, Pennsylvania on March 22nd for their next match, as they take on Penn State Harrisburg at 3:30pm.
