CARLISLE, Pa. – The Dickinson men's tennis fell to 0-1 in Centennial Conference play, following a 7-0 loss to the Shoremen of Washington College in the conference opener at the Hays Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

The sun was shining over Carlisle and the campus of Dickinson College, as their centennial conference opener was met with a nice crowd of Red Devil fans. However, it was a tough day at the office on the court for the Red Devils. Although the doubles point was awarded to the Shoremen, the pairing of first-year Lucas Bogle and sophomore Eddy Chow was able to win the top doubles flight, with a tough contested 7-6 win. In the singles, the Shoremen were able to claim all six flights in straight sets. Senior Florian Anderson came the closest of the Red Devils in the fourth flight, He battled hard, but fell 6-4, 6-3. Bogle and Chow each had a 6-3 set in their singles matches, but eventually the Shoremen triumphed and claimed the overall win.

Dickinson (2-7, 0-1 CC) return to the court on Wednesday, as they travel to Westminster, Maryland to take on the Green Terror of McDaniel College in conference action at 4pm.
