CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team continue their strong season, rounding out their non-conference play with a 5-2 victory over the Sweet Briar College Vixens at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 3-0)
The Red Devils were able to sweep in the doubles play, with the second flight pairing of
Alisa Steele and
Loretta Szych clinching the tiebreaker 7-5 in their matchup. First-year
Natasha Sharnoff and sophomore
Jenna Crain only giving up the single game in their road to win the top doubles flight. While
Chloe Heller and
Izzy Desjardins completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 victory in the third flight.
Singles (DEVILS 4-2)
Crain continues to dominate the top flight for the Red Devils, as she easily won 6-1, 6-1. Steele continued the tiebreaker trend in her second flight match, overcoming her opponent 7-6, 6-2. The fourth and clinching point came via Heller in the fourth flight, as she cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Then fifth point was awarded to the Red and White in the sixth flight, as
Anabelle Armendarez was awarded the walkover.

Dickinson (10-4) return to conference action tomorrow afternoon at 1pm when they host the 23rd-ranked Garnet of Swarthmore College on the Hays Tennis Courts for Senior Day.
