CARLISLE, Pa. - After three years of sustained success, including a historic run to the 2025 Division III National Championship Game, men's lacrosse Head Coach
Dave Webster has announced the promotion of Assistant Coach
James Lettieri to Associate Head Coach effective immediately.
"I am extremely grateful and humbled by this honor" stated Lettieri. "The ability to work alongside Coach Webster, but more importantly to continue to lead and develop these young men to be the best versions of themselves everyday is what truly has me excited about being here at Dickinson."
Lettieri, a three-year member of Coach Webster's staff has become invaluable to the success of the Red and White during the current run of four-straight Centennial Conference titles, which culminated in an impressive run to NCAA Division III National Championship Game last month in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Lettieri, who is primarily responsible for the faceoff men and structure of the defense has made his impact well known coaching three consecutive First Team All-Conference faceoff specialists in
John McKee (2x) and
Ben Trucksess. It is because of the structure that he has brought to the defensive side of the ball that the Devils have consistently ranked either first or second in the conference for faceoff percentage, caused turnovers per game and groundballs per game. This past season, showed the massive impact as Dickinson's 865 groundballs was not only tops in the Centennial, but was 204 more than the next closest team. The Red Devils also paced the CC for caused turnovers at 223
Coach Webster offered his praise of Lettieri saying "we are thrilled to promote James into the role of Associate Head Coach. He has built strong relationships with our student-athletes and is a very positive role model and mentor for our team." He went onto add "we have consistently won with James and he has made a significant impact. He is very deserving of this new title."
