DURHAM, N.C. - The Dickinson men's lacrosse team added yet another impressive accolade to their incredible 2025 season on Friday morning as Head Coach
Dave Webster and his assistants
James Lettieri,
James Malone and Chris Brandau were named the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Division III Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Red and White earned this honor thanks to some memorable accomplishments along the way during the 2025 campaign:
- Fourth consecutive Centennial Conference Tournament title beating top-seeded Gettysburg College 13-11 at the battlefield.
- Back-to-back overtime wins in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament knocking off Denison University 8-7 and then the number two seed in the bracket Salisbury University 11-10 less than 24-hours later.
- The victory over the Sea Gulls in Maryland was the first for Coach Webster.
- They then followed up the exciting first weekend of the Tournament by toppling Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (11-9) and Rochester Institute of Technology (12-10) in upstate New York to book the program's first ever trip to the Division III title game.
- Despite the setback to the nation's top team Tufts University, the Red and White closed the season as the number two team in the nation after not reaching higher than tenth in the polls all season.
- Dickinson had three players garner All-American status, including one First Teamer in senior defender, Evan Karetsos. The duo of classmate Ben Trucksess and sophomore Luke Whalen received Honorable Mention at faceoff and midfield respectively.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment by Coach Webster and his entire staff" stated Director of Athletics
Celine Cunningham. "To be recognized as the Staff of the Year in Division III is a great testament to not only Dave, but his whole staff. Each and every one of them is a vital piece in molding these young men into not only great lacrosse players, but also outstanding young men away from the field of competition. We are incredibly grateful to have these gentlemen with us here at Dickinson."
