Men's Golf Compete in Two Different Locations on Monday

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf program was extremely active on Monday afternoon as two separate teams competed in different events. The "A" Team concluded their two-day battle at The Northeast Elite tournament at Williamsport Country Club, while the "B" Team was closer to home taking part in the Stevenson University Invite at Piney Branch Golf Club in Maryland. 

"A" Team

In Williamsport, Collin McMahon-Shea finished out the tournament in fifth-place after posting a three-over 74 on Monday at the 6538-yard, par 71 course. The lowest scoring Devil on Day Two was Michael DePalma who turned around a Round One 84 into a 73 less than 24-hours later. Luke Vance fired a 77, while the duo of Landon Mauser and Ryan Wheeler fired identical 78s.

Individual Leader
Alvin Su out of the University of Rochester claimed the individual crown with a combined nine-under over two round shooting a 67 on Sunday and 66 on Monday. He finished nine shots clear of his next closest competitors Andrew Bruce (PSU-Altoona), Daniel Casanta (Gettysburg) and Ethan Crabb (McDaniel).

"B" Team
Dickinson Team Results
In Upperco, Maryland the Red and White braved the never-ending hills and twisting turning greens of Piney Branch to earn a third-place finish with a team total of 312. Vincent Carr was the lowest scoring Devil on the 6701-yard, par 71 course with a 77. The duo of Brendan Doyle and Walter Gumbinger turned in identical 78s. After a tough start Erik Schneider rebounded nicely to fire a 79, while Jake Goldberg entered the 19th-hole on 81.

Individual Leader
Will Layton from Bridgewater College won the event with a one-under 70 holding off Zachary Wilcox from the host Stevenson by two strokes.
