CARLISLE, Pa. -- The Dickinson men's swim team kicked off their 2026 slate with the Dickinson Tri-Meet against Bloomsburg and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon at the Clarke Aquatic Center. Despite big first-place finishes from sophomore
Samson Qu and the 200 Medley Relay team, the Red Devils fell to both the Huskies (146-57) and the Crimson Hawks (132-71).
Individual Results
- Qu recorded an impressive swim in the 50 Free, finishing first overall with a time of 21.02. The win is his fourth of his season in the event.Â
- Junior Jack Engel finished strong in the 50 Fly, tabbing first in his heat and sixth overall in 24.82 for a new personal record.Â
- Sophomore Lukas Nier took third overall in the 100 Free, touching the wall in 49.06.Â
- In the 100 Free, Henry Lease finished 2nd in his heat and seventh overall in 51.32.Â
- Paul Florio notched a great fourth place finish in the 200 IM, with a 2:04.50 performance.
- Junior Benjamin Brandt swam a time of 5:11.28 in the 500 Free, good for a sixth place finish.Â
Relay Results
- The first race of the afternoon was the 200 Medley Relay, where the squad of James Wright, Lukas Nier, Samson Qu, and Jack Engel took first overall, swimming a 1:36.92.Â
- The Red Devils took a third place finish in the 200 Free Relay, when Engel, Wright, Kelley, and Qu swam a 1:27.18.Â
- In the 400 Free Relay, Qu, Nier, Kelley, and Engel placed third overall with a 3:14.66 finish.Â

The Dickinson swim team will travel to Messiah University tomorrow, Saturday January 17 for a dual meet. Events are set to begin at 11 a.m. in the Fredricksen Natatorium.Â
