Women's Track and Field Successful at Franklin & Marshall Coach I Invite

Multiple Red Devils tally top five finishes

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson women's track and field team officially opened 2026 at the Coach I Invite hosted by Franklin and Marshall on Saturday. The Red Devils had a great showing, with junior Marley Kurey's two top three finishes and senior Erin Olsavsky's second-place finish in the 200m. 

Sprints
Erin Olsavsky had a great 8.17 performance in the 60m prelims for ninth place. Unfortunately for the senior, she was just one place and 0.1 seconds short of qualifying for finals. 

Olsavsky continued on in the 200m with a strong second-place finish with a time of 26.28. First-year Angie Braun also had a great finish, running a 27.44 good for tenth place. Sophomore Emily Chaine recorded a season-best time of 28.24, good for 22nd place. 

Junior Marley Kurey notched a big win in the 400m, running a quick 1:01.77. Sophia Kovalski came in at 14th place with a great 1:06.84 finish. 

Distance
Kurey had a great finish in the 800m, placing third overall. She ran a quick 2:22.33 to record the 79th best time in Division III. Sophomore Kovalski had a great finish in the event as well, running a 2:32.02 for 15th place. 

In the 5000m, first-year Roma Diak tallied a great seventh place finish in 19:50.25. Red Devils Ellie Drescher and Jenna Kerns went back-to-back in 15th and 16th, running times of 21:21.17 and 21:32.57 respectively. 

Sophomore Liza Barbash had a great showing in the 1 mile, running a 5:24.34 good for fifth overall. Devon Culberson had a great performance as well, finishing 16th in 5:49.17. 

The 3000m featured junior Meghan Higgins-Haas' strong fourth place finish to set a new PR of 10:57.66. 

Field
Junior Damien Labrada notched a great ninth place finish in the weight throw with a strong 12.82m toss. She also picked up a strong sixth place finish in the shot put with a 11.37m throw. 

In the high jump SH, first-year Amanda Hoglund jumped a high 1.45m to tie for eighth place overall. The jump is just short of her first place, 1.48m performance to open the season in the Shenandoah Holiday Open. 

First-year Angie Braun finished 16th in the long jump with a 4.78m finish. Hoglund placed 26th with a 4.43m jump. 

The pole vault featured senior Sylvie McMaken-Marsh's 2.58m performance, good for an 11th place finish.

Relays
The A relay made up of Kurey, Kovalski, Culberson, and Lauren Scott took 11th place in 4:34.95.
