NEW ORLEANS - Following strong outdoor seasons the duo of senior
Erin Olsavsky and junior
Damien Labrada have been tabbed as All-Region performers by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association the organization announced this week.
The All-Region honorees come from the Top-8 individuals in each event from each region, while the members of a Top-8 ranked relay team are also chosen.Â
Labrada grabbed their spot thanks to a 40.72m mark in the discus at the Centennial Conference Track & Field Championships on May 1st.
Olsavsky secured a place in two different disciplines as she ranked fifth for the 100m after a time of 12.11 during the Coach P Invite (4/17). She was also the top performer in the region for the 200m clocking in at 24.82 during the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11th.
