SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Dickinson women's track and field team posted multiple Top-10 finishes and numerous Top-20 results on Saturday afternoon at the Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic at Shippensburg University in their final preparation for next weekend's Centennial Conference Championships.
Sprints
Sylvie McMaken-Marsh competed during the 100m hurdles landing in 23rd thanks to a 17.79.
Melina Gregory was the only Devil involved in the 200m clocking in at 29.06 for 32nd.
Emily Chaine took part during the 400m hitting the line in 1:04.18 to claim 16th. With hurdles placed down at the same distance
Margaret Randolph nabbed 17th after a time of 1:27.44.
The pair of
Alicia MacMillan and
Leah Bell competed in the 800m stopping the timer at 2:47.57 and 3:00.74 respectively.
Distance
Liza Barbash earned a seventh-place finish for the 1500m with a time of 4:50.46. MacMillan and Bell took part as well posting results of 5:31.87 and 6:10.00.
Dickinson put a trio out on the track to do battle in the 5000m with
Ellie Drescher finishing inside the Top-10 at ninth (20:36.70), followed by
Emma Lewis (11th – 21:06.73) and
Emma VanMeter (13th – 22:39.03).
Relays
The team of
Angie Braun,
Erin Olsavsky, Chaine and Gregory crossed in 50.40 during the 4x100m to finish seventh.
Field
Damien Labrada finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 11.32m, while
Sarah Glickson and
Anna Purvis claimed 23rd (9.23m) and 27th (8.70m). The same trio also competed for the hammer throw with Labrada rewriting their own school record after posting a mark of 45.60m for fifth. Glickson just missed the Top-10 placing 11th following a heave of 40.91m and Purvis landed in 27th (32.20m). Labrada was back at it during the discus taking tenth (34.79m), while
Purvis dropped in at 25.46m. Glickson's final event was the javelin where her throw of 22.33m was good for 21st.
At the jump pit, Braun took 13th in the long jump with a mark of 4.83m.

Dickinson returns to action next Friday to take part in day one of the Centennial Conference Championships at Gettysburg College.
