GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson women's track and field team started the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday. The Red Devils had a great start to the three-day meet, sitting in 5th place and recording multiple top finishes.
Sprints
- Senior Erin Olsavsky qualified for the 100m finals tomorrow with a great second place, 12.26 finish in prelims.
- She notched another second-place finish in the 200m prelims, qualifying with a time of 25.45.
Distance
- On day one, sophomore Liza Barbash notched a solid fourth-place finish in the 10,000m, running a new personal-best time of 37:31.98. First-year Roma Diak also set a new personal best with her ninth place, 39:38.62 finish.
- In the 800m prelims, sophomore Sophia Kovalski qualified for finals with a strong 2:19.79 performance to set a new personal best.
Field
- Junior Damien Labrada notched a strong finish in hammer, taking third overall with a 44.40m toss. Next was sophomore Sarah Glickson who took fourth, recording a 43.88m to set a new personal best. The two finishes added 11 points to the Red Devils' total.
- Senior Sylvie McMaken-Marsh tied her personal best in pole vault, recording a 2.90m to finish 12th.
- Labrada recorded another third-place finish in discus with a great 40.72m performance to set a new personal best. The mark currently sits in the Top 100 in Division III.
- In long jump, first-year Angie Braun took ninth place with a 4.97m mark.
Relay
Heptathlon
- First-year Amanda Hoglund had a strong performance in the Heptathlon, finishing 6th overall. Starting on day one, she ran a season-best 17.44 in the 100 and took sixth in shot put with a 7.20m mark. In high jump, she recorded a strong 1.50m to take third place. She finished sixth in shot put (7.20m), and placed fifth in the 200m (29.31). On day two, Hoglund started in the long jump with a 4.32m performance. She continued with a strong third-place performance in javelin, recording a 22.63m mark. She finished with a 2:46 even in the 800m to set a new personal-best time.
- Also competing in the heptathlon was first-year Allison Edmands, placing 8th overall. She started in the 100m Hurdles with a 18.57 finish, then continued with a 1.29m in high jump. In shot put, she placed fifth with a 7.49m mark and ran a 31.69 in the 200. On day two, Edmands posted a 3.81m in long jump and a 20.77m in javelin. In the 800m, she posted a season-best time of 2:47.88.
