SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team struck twice inside the opening 15 minutes and added one more in the second half to post a 3-0 non-conference win over the host Susquehanna University at Sassafras Field on Wednesday night.
First Half
- Both keepers were called upon early with Pico Gray stopping Ella Briggs, while Katie Henchy had an answer for Joelle Ma.
- In the 11th minute it became 1-0 when Anna Bitsko found Ava Prisco for the finish.
- Just over a minute later the Devils pushed it to 2-0 when the ball deflected in off a River Hawk defender.
- The remainder of the period was all about Henchy as she denied Kaitlyn Arnold, Emma Barrabee, Bridget Merkel and Ma keeping the margin at just 2-0.
Second Half
- Dickinson had a great chance to extend the lead inside the first minute, but the attempt from Prisco rang off the post.
- Gray continued to keep the clean sheet in tact as the match enter the final half hour with saves against Ava Billmeyer and Kim Dalessio.
- The Red and White made it 3-0 during the 67th when a corner sent in by Ma found Megan Lomotan for her first in a DC kit.
- From then on the Devils sealed things up defensively not allowing another shot, while Henchy had to notch stops versus Caitlin Shimko and Barrabee to finish the match.
