Dane Moran notched a team-high 14 points on Wednesday night as the Dickinson men's basketball team looked for a statement conference win as the welcomed the league-leading Gettysburg College to the Kline Center. Unfortunately for the Red and White the Bullets built up a sizable 39-15 edge at halftime en route to a 75-48 win.
First Half
- It took two minutes to see the first points of the game when Caleb Gillus knocked down a jumper. However, the Devils answered with a pull-up by Cole Cosby to tie the game.
- A triple hit by Luis Ruiz and a layup for Moran left the host down 9-7, before buckets from Kosta Radulovic and Lorenzo Carrara pushed the GC edge to 14-7 with 7:30 gone.
- Dickinson continued to battle with Isaiah Edmond and Moran getting to within 16-12 at the nine minute mark.
- A jump shot hit by Ray Zamloot then started a 19-2 outburst for the Bullets that closed on a layup for Reece Craft to make it 35-14 with just over three minutes to play.
- Ryan Leskauskas split a pair at the line to stall the push for a moment, but two each for Craft and Zamloot left the score at 39-15 after 20 minutes.
Second Half
- Four points for Edmond and a layup from Jacob Pichay looked to give the Devils some momentum early cutting the gap to 45-21 with 3:15 gone.
- After a Zamloot bucket, baskets by Juan Ruiz and Moran aided a 9-3 DC charge making it 48-28.
- The Moran-Ruiz tandem continued the fight for the Devils as they pulled the deficit under 20 at 53-34 at the 10:56 mark.
- Gettysburg responded with buckets from Craft, Gillus and Zamloot coming during a 15-2 run to extend the lead out to 68-36 with five minutes left.
- Bryce Donovan, Joey Dopirak, Gabe Glover, Edmond, Moran and L. Ruiz picked up points for the Devils throughout the remainder of the game, but the horn sounded with DC on the wrong end of a 75-48 score.
