LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson College men's track and field team traveled to nearby Franklin & Marshall College for the Blue & White Invite on Saturday. The Red Devils competed well against the 14 teams represented, earning six individual wins and multiple personal records. Senior Trevor Richwine and sophomore Franklyn Akabi-During each earned wins to claim school records in the 300m and 600m.
Sprints
- In the 60m, senior Jason Hollinger recorded a season-best 7.12 good for third overall. First-year Jack Shronk clocked a 7.27 for a 14th place finish.
- Hollinger continued in the 200m where he placed fifth with a strong 23.30 finish, a new personal record.
- Sophomore Franklyn Akabi-During broke a school record with his victory in the 300m, running a personal-best 34.65 that ranks seventh nationally in Division III.
- The 400m was all Red Devils, with sophomore Darian Crim leading with a first-place, 50.37 finish. Senior Matthew Gareau took third place and set a new PR of 51.42. Behind him was Shronk in fourth, also setting a PR with a 51.50 finish. Setting another PR was first-year Owen Seveland with a 52.95 finish for eighth place.
Distance
- Trevor Richwine claimed the Dickinson record in the 600m, finishing with a time of 1:20.99. The time currently stands as the 15th best in Division III.
- Next was the 800m where first-year Michael Dooley had a great 1:58.27 finish good for second place and a new PR. Behind him in third was senior James Masterson with a 1:59.47 finish. Rounding out the top five was Gareau in fourth and Amos Liles in fifth, with times of 2:01.10 and and 2:02.14, respectively.
- The Red Devils claimed another victory with senior Benjamin Moseman running a season-best 4:28.07. Sophomore Avi Ghorai had a strong 4:37.06 performance good for fourth place.
- Moseman claimed another win in the 3000m, running a time of 9:04.58. Ghorai notched another great finish with his second place, 9:07.42 run for a new season best.
- The 5000m featured junior Mason Macek with his ninth place, 16:28.13 finish for a new season best.
Relays
- The Red Devils claimed the top two spots in the 4x400m Relay, with the A relay setting a new season best. The A Relay of Akabi-During, Richwine, Masterson, and Crim had a strong 3:23.54 showing to take first place. In second was the B Relay of Shronk, Seveland, Liles, and Walker Crochet clocking a time of 3:30.78.
Field
- In the long jump, Seveland finished 16th with a 5.73m finish.
- First-year Dylan Elder recorded a 3.35m in the pole vault for 14th place.
- The shot put featured first-year Dan Echeverri's strong 12.22m throw for tenth place.
- Sophomore Oliver Stroka notched a great third-place finish in the weight throw with a 16.32m toss.

The Red Devils will continue next weekend on Saturday, February 14th at the Widener Indoor Classic in Philadelphia, Pa.
