LANCASTER, Pa. - Following a pair of wins over the weekend Dickinson men's lacrosse goalie
Rocco Bognet was rewarded for his strong efforts by being named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The native of Timonium, Maryland, backstopped the 10th-ranked Red Devils to a pair of victories at the annual Callum Robinson Mustang Classic hosted by Stevenson. On Friday he recorded seven stops and a ground ball as the Red and White knocked off 14th-ranked Saint Lawrence 19-6. Then, less than 24-hours later against Denison he limited the Big Red to just five goals, while putting up 10 saves in the hard fought 8-5 win. Bognet registered a stellar 5.54 goals against average and 60.7% save percentage in just under 120 minutes of action for the week.
Bognet and the rest of Red Devils return to action on Saturday afternoon at 3pm when they open up Centennial Conference action with a visit to Chestertown, Maryland for a matchup with Washington College.
