Sage Whiteside was recognized for her contributions by being selected as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The native of Crownsville, Maryland, on Tuesday against Ohio Wesleyan won a pair of draw controls and forced one giveaway, while tallying two goals in a 16-4 win. Two days later versus Saint Joseph's (Me.) she collected three draws, caused two turnovers, picked up a pair of ground balls and tacked on a goal as the Devils bested the Monks 14-3.Â
Whiteside and the rest of the Red Devils return to action on Saturday at noon when they open conference play on the road at Washington College.
