LANCASTER, Pa. - After a pair of convincing wins over Spring Break in Puerto Rico, Dickinson women's lacrosse junior midfielder Sage Whiteside was recognized for her contributions by being selected as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

The native of Crownsville, Maryland, on Tuesday against Ohio Wesleyan won a pair of draw controls and forced one giveaway, while tallying two goals in a 16-4 win. Two days later versus Saint Joseph's (Me.) she collected three draws, caused two turnovers, picked up a pair of ground balls and tacked on a goal as the Devils bested the Monks 14-3. 

Whiteside and the rest of the Red Devils return to action on Saturday at noon when they open conference play on the road at Washington College.
