CARLISLE, Pa. - After having multiple attempts at getting their home schedule underway washed out, the Dickinson softball team finally got onto the Dickinson Park field on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference doubleheader against Wilson College. The Red and White used a four-run fifth in game one to help secure a 5-4 win, before getting tripped up 8-2 during game two.

Inside the Game
- Wilson struck first against Abby Kohan using back-to-back doubles from Kiera O'Brine and Emily Randalls to make it 1-0 in the first. Kayla Talbert later pushed it to 2-0 with a single, before Madison Briggs bounced into a double-play.Â
- Amelia Plescia walked during the home-half, and Marah Goldman notched a single an inning later to account for the Devils only runners, but they were not able to scratch them across against Worthington as the game headed to the third still 2-0.
- The home-half of the third saw Elizabeth Raefski strikeout and Alex Johnson flyout to leave the bases empty with two gone. Jane Lloyd than drew a walk, prior to Plescia pushing her to third on a single to center. A wild pitch allowed Lloyd to cross closing the score to 2-1 through three.
- Following a quiet fourth, Skye Cooke took over in the circle for Kohan to start the fifth and faced four batters to keep the score where it was. A walk to Raefski coupled with singles by Johnson and Lloyd loaded the cushions with one away. That brought Lauren Routzahn to the dish and she drove home a pair with a double. Marah Goldman and Jessie Sandusky each added an RBI later in the frame to give DC a 5-2 edge.
- Dickinson would take the advantage into the top of the seventh where a triple and single cut the margin down to 5-3. Defensive indifference helped the runner to advance to third, before a sacrifice fly for Sydney Hartle plated one closing the gap again (5-4). However, Emory Hadden was then summoned in from the pen and used a groundout as well as a strikeout to end the game.

Pitching Decision - W - Julia Wilkes (4-1) | L -
Erin McMahon (1-4)
Inside the Game
- Dickinson starter Erin McMahon got off to a strong start with a pair of flyouts, but then two straight singles allowed Wilson to take a 1-0 edge into the bottom-half. Wilkes put up a "three up, three down" shutdown frame.
- The top of the third saw a walk and base hit from Katelyn Keller extend the advantage to 2-0. Two more free passes loaded the bases for the visitors, however a pair of groundouts prevented any further damage. Dickinson tried to get back into the game with a walk to Jackie Adler, followed by groundouts for Grace Dibuono-Krafick and Sandusky advancing her to third with two gone. Lloyd would then put the Red and White on the board with an RBI knock to right (2-1).Â
- Adler took over in the circle for McMahon in the fourth and posted a scoreless frame. However, an inning later the Phoenix added two more runs thanks to one hit and a walk against Adler (4-1).Â
- Each team found the board once during the sixth as Wilson used three singles versus new arm Kaylie Renner to get one, while two out hits for Plescia, Adler and Aubrey Gilbert allowed DC to pick up one making it 5-2 with an inning to go.Â
- Unfortunately, for the Devils, Wilson posted three in the seventh to set the 8-2 final.
