Welcome to Carlisle! Wiley Joins Dickinson Softball Coaching Staff

CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson College softball head coach Sami Davidson has announced a new addition to her staff as Rebekah Wiley comes to Carlisle bringing recent NCAA Division III student-athlete experience with a championship pedigree to the staff.

Wiley joins the Red Devils after completing a four-year softball career at Messiah University, where she developed into one of the top players in the MAC Commonwealth while helping the Falcons capture back-to-back conference championships.

"I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to share my passion for softball at Dickinson and be part of the growth of this program," Wiley said. "We have the people, facilities, and resources to build something special, and I am looking forward to the upcoming months working alongside Coach Davidson and our student-athletes."

A member of the Messiah softball program from 2022 through 2026, Wiley was part of MAC Commonwealth championship teams in both 2025 and 2026, helping the Falcons earn consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Her senior season included a number of individual honors, as she earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region recognition in 2026. She was also named Academic All-MAC, selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and earned NFCA Scholar Athlete recognition.

Wiley's playing career also reflected her ability to balance high-level athletics with academic success. She was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll in each of her four softball seasons and graduated cum laude from Messiah in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science.

Her collegiate athletic experience extended beyond the softball diamond. Wiley was also a member of Messiah's Division III field hockey program, competing in a program that won MAC Commonwealth titles in 2022 and 2023 and made three NCAA Tournament appearances during her career.

The lessons from Wiley's playing career have also helped shape the approach she hopes to bring to coaching.

"During my last season at Messiah, I started writing the word 'JOY' on my wrist as a reminder to be present in every moment and simply have fun while playing the game I love," Wiley said. "Learning to play with that perspective shaped me as a person and the type of coach I want to be. I want to help our athletes grow their confidence, embrace the experience of being a student-athlete, and create meaningful memories as they become the best softball players and people they can be."

Since completing her collegiate softball career, Wiley has begun transitioning into coaching and player development. She currently works as a Softball Program Assistant and Content Creator at Prime 9 Training Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she coaches small groups of youth and young adult baseball and softball athletes with an emphasis on hitting technique and mechanics. She also provides individualized feedback designed to improve skill development, consistency and confidence.

Wiley has also gained coaching experience as a volunteer assistant with the Red Land Girls Softball Association's 12U program. Her responsibilities include helping plan and lead practices while working with athletes on hitting, fielding, throwing and catching fundamentals.

"I'm incredibly excited to welcome Rebekah to our coaching staff at Dickinson," said Dickinson head coach Sami Davidson. "Her experience as a Division III student-athlete, combined with her passion for player development and ability to connect with athletes, will make her a great addition to our program. Rebekah understands what it takes to grow both on and off the field, and I'm excited for the impact she'll have on the team as we continue building the future of Dickinson Softball."

Wiley now brings that combination of recent Division III playing experience, championship success and developing coaching background to Dickinson as she begins the next chapter of her softball career with the Red Devils.
