McMahon-Shea Sets New CC Champ Record, as Devils Take Second

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf team concluded a busy three-day stretch on Sunday afternoon at the Centennial Conference Championship at Waynesboro Country Club. The Red and White were led by individual champion Collin McMahon-Shea who fired a three-day total of 208 to set a new event record. As a unit the Devils shot a combined 863 to take second place in the team competition.

Final Round - 2nd (287)
Collin McMahon-Shea used five birdies to card his second four-under 68 of the tournament. William Griffith continued his strong play by posting a two-under 70. The duo of Walter Gumbinger and Landon Mauser ended within a stroke of each other firing 74 and 75 respectively. Michael DePalma closed out his season with a 78.

McMahon-Shea staved off a charge from both Patrick Kilcoyne (Gettysburg) and Charlie Dolan (McDaniel) to win the individual title by two shots.

Up Next
Dickinson will now have to wait and see if they have done enough to earn an at-large spot as a team or if any individuals will represent the Red and White in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Round 2 - 3rd (290)

William Griffith led the way for the Devils with a one-under 71 on the 6596-yard, par 72 course. The tandem of Landon Mauser and Collin McMahon-Shea each posted an even par 72, while the duo of Michael DePalma and Walter Gumbinger carded identical 75s.

Patrick Kilcoyne from Gettysburg and Franklin & Marshall's Max Silverman are tied for the individual lead 138 to hold a two-shot edge on McMahon-Shea and Charlie Dolan (McDaniel).

Round 1 - 2nd (286)

McMahon-Shea was joined under par by William Griffith who ended the day with a one-under 72 on the 6596-yard, par 72 course. The duo of Landon Mauser and Walter Gumbinger finished within a stroke of each other carding 73 and 74 respectively. Michael DePalma rounded out the Red Devil scores for Friday with a 76.

McMahon-Shea was joined for the individual lead at 68 by Patrick Kilcoyne from Gettysburg College as the duo hold a one shot edge over Max Silverman (F&M).
