LANCASTER, Pa. - Following a strong season Dickinson men's golf was recognized by the league office on Thursday afternoon by having two players named to the All-Conference Team as senior
Collin McMahon-Shea and sophomore
William Griffith earned the honor. McMahon-Shea was also tabbed as the conference's Athlete of the Year.
McMahon-Shea, the native of Lexington, Massachusetts, claimed the individual title at the CC Championship last weekend with a record-setting score of 208 (-8), the senior now owns a 70.7 scoring average through 25 rounds which has him as the 24th-ranked player in Division III. McMahon-Shea has won three other tournaments (Dickinson Fall Invite, Battle at Bulle Rock and Swarthmore Invite) and and placed among the top three four different times.Â
Griffith, the resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, earned his place following his fifth-place finish at the CC Championship shooting a combined 212 with rounds of 71, 71 and 70. One of his best outings of the season came during the Dickinson Spring Invite as he carded a season-best 69 to go along with a one-over 72 to win the two-day event with a total of 141 to edge out McMahon-Shea by two. Â
