CHESTER, Pa. - At the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday, Dickinson track and field athlete
Trevor Richwine made history by breaking the Division III record in the 800m. The senior crossed the finish line in 1:47.21, setting records for Division III, Dickinson College, and the Centennial Conference. The previous division record was set in May 2006 by Nick Symmonds, 6-time US national 800 meters champion, who clocked a 1:47.34. Richwine had broken the school and conference records earlier this season at the Virginia Challenge when he ran a 1:47.46, which was the second-fastest time in Division III history.
Richwine is hopeful to improve on his time at the 2026 Division III Track and Field Championships from May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Selections for championships will be revealed on Friday, May 15, via a press release on
