GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson men's track and field team wrapped up the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday. The Red Devils placed third overall, winning many medals and breaking multiple records throughout the three-day meet.
Trevor Richwine had a great last conference championship, earning the Most Outstanding Track Performer award and breaking the 800m meet record.
Sprints
- Sophomore Darian Crim continued in the 400m finals, placing second overall with a strong 49.06 finish. Senior Matthew Gareau placed fifth with a personal-best 50.12, with first-year Maximus Fite finishing behind him with a time of 50.72.
- Franklyn Akabi-During won the 100m finals, clocking a time of 10.61. Senior Jason Hollinger set a new personal-best time of 10.95 with his fourth-place finish.
- Continuing in the 200m finals, Akabi-During won another gold medal with a 21.60 finish to add 10 points to the Red Devils' total. Hollinger earned sixth place with a 22.64 performance.
Distance
- Senior Trevor Richwine won the 800m finals, recording a time of 1:48.57. The time breaks his CC Championship meet record of 1:51.01 set last year, is a new stadium record, and was over six seconds faster than the runner in second place. Owen Buroker earned a bronze medal with his 1:54.19 performance to set a new personal best. First-year Michael Dooley took fifth place with a time of 1:54.46.
- Luke Knestout and Alexander Kane went back-to-back in 10th and 11th places in the 5000m, running times of 15:10.38 and 15:11.19, respectively.
Field
- In javelin, sophomore Damon Buchanan finished in sixth place with a great 50.90m mark.
Relays
- The 4x100 Relay team of Hollinger, Crim, Owen Seveland, and Akabi-During won with a strong 41.84 finish. The time is a season-best, is a new stadium record, and currently ranks in the Top 100 times in Division III this season.
- Picking up another win was the 4x400 team of Gareau, Crim, Seveland, and Richwine, clocking a time of 3:18.29. The time is a new Musselman Stadium record, breaking the 3:19.90 standard set by a 2003 Dickinson relay team.
