LANCASTER, Pa. - Following a solid season the Dickinson baseball program had two players tabbed as All-Conference honorees by the Centennial Conference office on Thursday morning. Junior,
Kyle Bailey garnered First Team recognition, while senior,
Johnny Bruno claimed a spot on the Second Team.
Bailey, the native of Blauvelt, New York, played in 35 games making 34 starts posting a .408 batting average thanks to 49 hits, 42 RBIs, 31 runs scored, ten doubles, two home runs and one triple while also drawing 20 free passes. In the field, the catcher recorded 192 put outs, 16 assists and caught eight would be base stealers. On the year he notched multiple hits in 14 games, including a perfect 4-for-4 in game one of a doubleheader against Gwynedd Mercy. In a home double dip with Susquehanna he went 3-for-7 collecting six RBIs and scoring one run. Bailey ended the season "red hot" at the dish closing out on a 15-game hitting streak which he will carry over into his senior campaign. He also tallied a season-high ten put outs in the field twice versus Randolph-Macon and Wesleyan (Conn.).Â
Bruno, the resident of Rumson, New Jersery, closed out his time in Carlisle by playing in and starting 35 games tallying a .341 batting average to go along with team highs in both RBIs (45) and home runs (8) coupled with six doubles and a pair of triples. An everyday outfielder for the Red and White he recorded 46 put outs and three assists. At the dish, he put up 11 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI outputs as well. One of his best days of the year came in a doubleheader against Wilson where he went 3-of-7 with six driven home, posting three runs scored and blasting a home run. In the field, Bruno collected two or more put outs in 15 games with a season-high five coming versus Catholic.Â
