CARLISLE, Pa. - Dickinson College head football coach
Brad Fordyce has announced the additions of
Khaliq Coleman and
Christopher Rykert to the Red Devil coaching staff.
Coleman brings a wealth of coaching and recruiting experience to Carlisle and will work with the Red Devil wide receivers while also overseeing recruiting operations as the program's Recruiting Coordinator.
He comes to Dickinson following a stint with Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg College, where he worked with the Bullets' wide receivers. Prior to Gettysburg, Coleman served as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Jeannette High School. During his time with the Jayhawks, he helped engineer a turnaround from a 3-7 campaign to a 7-4 record and a postseason berth as the offense amassed more than 4,000 yards and produced four all-conference selections.
Coleman also spent time coaching wide receivers at Saint Vincent College and previously served as assistant head coach and wide receivers/defensive backs coach at Hempfield High School. He began his coaching career at Greensburg Central Catholic, working with the program's wide receivers, tight ends and defensive backs.
A former collegiate student-athlete, Coleman began his career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, playing under current Indiana University head coach Curt Cignetti, before eventually finishing at Shippensburg University under longtime Raiders head coach Mark Maciejewski. Coleman earned his bachelor's degree in Human Communication Studies from Shippensburg.
Rykert arrives in Carlisle after building a strong foundation in coaching and player development at SUNY Cortland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Education while serving as a student assistant with one of the nation's premier Division III programs.
Working primarily with the defensive line, Rykert assisted with practice organization, position drills, defensive communication, film analysis, recruiting operations and game-day preparation. During the 2024 and 2025 seasons, he was part of a staff that helped develop six All-Empire 8 defensive linemen, including a pair of Empire 8 Defensive Players of the Year and All-Americans in Nick Lardaro and Aden Wiser.
Rykert was also part of back-to-back Empire 8 championship teams as the Red Dragons continued their run as one of the nation's most successful Division III programs.
Before beginning his collegiate coaching career, Rykert played football at East Islip High School in New York from 2018-21. He was a member of the program's 2021 Suffolk County championship team, an experience that helped foster his passion for coaching and developing student-athletes.
The Red and White kickoff the 2026 season on Friday, September 4th under the lights at Biddle Field against nationally-ranked Randolph-Macon College at 6pm.
