(Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson College baseball team raised its school record for wins in a season to 21, posting a 6-3 victory over visiting Muhlenberg on Tuesday. The Red Devils improve to 21-15 overall and finish 7-11 in the Centennial Conference.
The Mules took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning as Joe Vila tripled in John Muha and Koe DiCicilia. The Devils answsered with four in the bottom half of the inning behind RBI doubles from Jordan Kaufman (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) and Bart Marchant (Lakeville, Conn./Hotchkiss).
Max Litvak tripled and scored in the fourth to cut the lead to 4-3. James Santoro (Freehold, N.J./St. Rose) doubled for the second time in the game and scored on an RBI single by Kaufman in the bottom of the seventh. Kaufman came in to score off the bat of Matt Tuneski (Waterford, Conn./Waterford).
Junior Sean White (Summit, N.J./Salisbury School) earned a complete game win, recording six strikeouts to improve to 6-4.
Kaufman finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Santoro went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored. Tuneski and Ben Sciambi (Port Monmouth, N.J./Ridge) each added two hits as well.
