Gettysburg capitalized early, scoring two runs in the first inning. They held a 2-0 lead until a double from Tyler Rosa' (Carmel, Calif./Stevenson School) scored Garrett Horan (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown) in the fourth to put the Devils on the board in the fourth.
The Devils scored three runs in the sixth to take a brief 4-2 lead. Rosa' drove in a run with a sacrifice fly while Jordan Kaufman (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) doubled and Ben Sciambi (Port Monmouth, N.J./Ridge) tallied a pair of RBIs with a single to right.

Senior Mike Schuster (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) added a pair of walks to his school career record, including one in the ninth. He moved to second on the second sacrifice bunt of the day from James Santoro (Freehold, N.J./St. Rose). Horan drove Schuster in for another insurance run with a fly to right field.
A walk, single and a double led to a pair of Gettysburg runs in the bottom of the ninth before Sean White (Summit, N.J./Salisbury) closed the door to earn the save. Sophomore Andrew Sterling (Houston, Texas/Episcopal) came on in relief to pick up the win. Horan allowed just two hits while striking out seven in three and two-thirds innings.
