(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College baseball team tied the school record with its 21st win of the season. The Red Devils set the win mark last spring and swept Muhlenberg with a 6-4 victory here on Friday to match the school record.

The Mules scored an unearned run in the second inning and pulled in front, 3-0, on a two-run homer by Brian Beck in the third.

The Red Devils put a run on the board in the bottom of the fourth. First-year Steven Haynes (Mt. Kisco, N.Y./Mt. Kisco) doubled, moved to third on a passed ball and came in to score on another double, as Tyler Rosa' (Carmel, Calif./Stevenson School) ripped a shot down the left field line.

Senior Nick Busillo went over the wall in the fifth to put the Mules up, 4-1. The Devils answered with three in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game, 4-4.

Senior Matt Tuneski (Waterford, Conn./Waterford) reached on a fielder's choice, but the Mules recorded the second out in the process. The Devils would put together a two-out rally with three straight singles, scoring three runs to pull even.

Joe Tursi (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) belted one up the middle and Andrew Sterling (Houston, Texas/Episcopal) singled to right. Sterling stole second and came in to score as Haynes singled through the left side of the infield.

Sterling singled in the seventh and came around on an RBI from catcher Garrett Horan (Providence, R.I/Moses Brown). Ben Sciambi (Port Monmouth, N.J./Ridge) drew a lead-off walk in the eighth and moved to second on a wild pitch. He moved to third as Tuneski laid down a beautiful sacrifice bunt, beating the throw for bunt single. Sciambi scored on a passed ball, adding another insurance run for the Red Devils.

Andrew Mauro (Washington, D.C./Mercersburg) came on in the sixth inning to earn the win, raising his season record to 6-1 overall. First-year Harley Moore (Deltaville, Va./Middlesex) was solid through five innings, recording five strikeouts.

Sterling went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI while Rosa' and Haynes each added a pair of hits, a double and an RBI on the day.

Beck went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs to lead Muhlenberg (18-18, 2-12 CC). The Red Devils improve to 21-11 overall and 8-6 in Centennial Conference play. They are scheduled to travel to Washington College for a double-header tomorrow afternoon in Chestertown, Maryland.
