#8- Johns Hopkins Tops Devils to Open Centennial Play

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team turned in a strong performance on Saturday, but had little luck against the number-eight ranked team in the country, Johns Hopkins University. The Blue Jays opened the Centennial Conference schedule with a 9-0 win over the Red Devils.

The Red Devils did put some points on the board as Chris Mueller-Wolf (Munich, Germany/Pennington School, N.Y.) played well in a 6-4, 7-5 setback in the third singles flight. He joined Will Golinkin (Houston, Texas/Kincaid) to battle in the number-one doubles flight, 8-6.

Joey Frank (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boca Raton) and Erik Dinardo (Carlisle, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) almost pulled out a win in the third doubles flight, but dropped a 9-8 (5) decision.

The Blue Jays improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Red Devils slip to 1-7 and 0-1 on the year. Dickinson is home again on Monday, hosting Elizabethtown in a make-up match from last week, at 3:30 pm.
